I requested it from my library and it took a couple months, but they finally approved me, so. Yeah, that’s the one I’m reading right now. And I was going to ask if that was one that you were going to get to in your ballet kick. I have not read it, but it is on our shelf. Torres, which I think just came out a couple months ago. And now I’m currently reading another ballet YA called The Turning Pointe, p o i n t e. But it was a really good story and made me cry a little at the end. And as someone who felt the same passion for figure skating as a kid, I kind of had some second hand feelings about all the stuff that she was going through. And now she has to adjust to a new normal. It’s basically about this main character, Alina, who has this career-ending ballet injury and ballet’s been her entire life for as long as she can remember. Not that I was really into ballet as a kid, but. I just finished The Other Side of Perfect by Mariko Turk, which gave me kind of all the feels. I have been kind of on this very niche YA ballet book streak lately. And it’s written by someone who has that same condition. And it is about a girl who finds out towards the beginning of the book that she’s going to go completely blind within the next six months, most likely, because of her degenerative eye condition. It’s called The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree. But then I picked it up, and I realized it sounded really cool. And I was like, what? And it was not that. Okay, um, so I recently read a middle grade that - the reason I picked it up off the shelf was because I saw the spine and got confused and thought that an actress I like wrote a book. This will come out next month, though, so it’s fine. Slandering poetry during National Poetry Month. I’ve been like in a huge Miraculous Ladybug phase lately. Also reading so much Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction. And then she’s like, I should write poetry all the time now!
